Lea Michele gets back on the beat in fuchsia coat as she films new season of Glee

Lea Michele is throwing herself into her work as she deals with the tragic loss of her boyfriend Cory Monteith.

The 27-year-old actress was holding up strong as she filmed scenes for Glee's fifth season in New York City on Monday.

Lea, who has been coping with the death of her co-star and boyfriend only two months ago, brightened up in a berry wrap-around trench coat.

Work proved to be the soothing balm to that wound as Lea was spotted, chin up, strolling in front of the St James Theatre, which was revamped into the venue for Funny Girl.

'#GleeinNYC #FunnyGirl #Broadway,' Lea tweeted that morning, along with a photo of herself standing beneath the Broadway show's marquee.

Last season on Glee ended with Lea's character Rachel Berry vying for the lead role of Fanny Brice in the musical revival, and viewers will get to see if she lands the part when the series returns on September 26.

Lea spent the rest of the time with her hands in the pockets of her cheery fuchsia coat and stepping lightly down the pavement in her black-tipped, artsy-patterned heels.

The actress' brown hair was effortlessly styled into a high ponytail with long bangs trailing over her eyes.

One thing is for sure, Lea is relieved to be back at work on the set of the Fox musical dramedy.

Lea was seen strolling around New York on Saturday while wearing a 'Cory' necklace and looking casual in denim jacket, white T-shirt and grey track trousers, the first time she was spotted in the Big Apple since Cory died.

The 31-year-old actor was found dead in his Vancouver, Canada hotel room of an apparent drug overdose.

Cory had struggled with substance abuse problems and been to rehab twice to treat his addiction, the first time occurring a decade ago.

Lea stood by her guy when the young star checked himself into a treatment facility in late March of this year.

'I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this,' Michele said in a statement to People magazine. 'I am grateful and proud he made this decision.'

Away from music Selena has been promoting new film Getaway, in which she stars alongside Hollywood stars Ethan Hawke and Jon Voight.

Despite her best efforts the thriller has failed to make an impact at the box-office, with critics lining up to give it a mauling following its US release on August 30.

Speaking to the New York Daily News, Selena – whose last long-term relationship was with Justin Bieber – admits she finds it hard to ignore the constant rumours and speculation surrounding her private life.

‘It does get to me,’ she said. ‘I'm a human and I feel those emotions of when people talk about you. It's never a good feeling ‘cause half the time it's just bull, it's not real.’

‘In the real world I'll drive my car to the grocery store and buy myself some food. In the media world it's like, 'Oohhh, I drive my car to go somewhere secretive.' It gets too clouded so I just have good people around me. I'm very picky,’ she admitted.

‘The hardest part (is) just trying to find someone that will just love the core person and not anything else around it.

Check my pecs! Arnold Schwarzenegger and boxer-turned-actor Wladimir Klitschko exchange shirtless muscles pictures on Twitter

Is this the beginning of a bro-mance?

Action hero and former muscleman Arnold Schwarzenegger and boxer-turned-actor Wladimir Klitschko have swapped shirtless pictures of themselves on Twitter.

The muscle match-up began last week when Klitschko, 37, posted a photo on his Twitter account showing him imitating Arnie's classic body-building pose in front of a vintage poster of the star in his heyday.

Smiling broadly, the 6ft 6inch Ukrainian flexes his perfect pecs for the tribute image.

And it seems Arnie has been the gold-medal winning boxer's idol since he was a child, because he added the message: 'Trying to catch u since I'm 12.'

Arnie replied, 'Great shot! It’s fantastic to see one of my favorite champions nailing my pose.'

Adding 'Right back at you,' he shot back a topless pic of himself doing a Klitschko impression in front of one of the boxer's old fight posters.

The 66-year-old star, sporting greying designer stubble, proved he's still well built, clasping his huge arms across his hairy chest.

Klitschko is also known for his romance with actress Hayden Panettiere, 23.

The pair dated from 2009 to 2011 before parting ways. They reunited in January but have yet to confirm reports that they are engaged after the Nashville star was pictured flashing a huge rock on her left hand wedding finger at LAX airport in August.

Meanwhile, Klitschko continues to follow in the footsteps of his hero, Arnie. The hunk, who gave up boxing to move to Los Angeles to try his hand at acting, has appeared in four pics, including Ocean's Eleven in 2001.

His latest movie, Pain&Gain, stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson as bodybuilders caught in a kidnapping scheme that goes wrong. It was released in April.

The She-type Jag: Luxury carmaker launches 4x4 in bid to attract more women customers

  • The C-X17 will spearhead new 'family' of smaller and cheaper luxury cars
  • It is the first of Jaguar's SUVs aimed specifically at 'school-run mums'
  • It will be built in the firm's plant in Solihull, creating thousands of UK jobs
  • It is linked to wi-fi, so passengers can check Facebook, Twitter on the go
It is best known for producing luxury saloons and roaring sports cars beloved of high-flying executives.

But Jaguar these days has a very different target market in mind.

Yesterday it unveiled its new ‘Chelsea  Tractor’, a sleek off-roader intended to attract women customers – and not least the school run mum.

At a cost of £38,000, the C-X17 will spearhead a new 'family' of smaller and more affordable luxury cars while creating thousands of jobs in Britain.

'Head of the family': The Jaguar C-X17 will spearhead a new 'family' of smaller and more affordable luxury cars that will create thousands of jobs in Britain

Jaguar says the sleek family off-roader is aimed primarily at 'school-run mums' and younger, more cosmopolitan drivers in a direct challenge to BMW’s market-leading 3-series.

The car is furnished with a host of state-of-the-art technologies and is even linked in to social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, allowing passengers to stay connected on the move, 'flicking' information from seat to seat.

Delivering top speeds of up to 186mph while keeping C02 emissions to under 100g/km, the C-X17 promises sports-car performance and real-world practicality and is to be built using a radical new all-aluminium manufacturing system.

Though best known for its large luxury saloons such as the XJ, used by Prime Minister David Cameron, or its roaring sports cars like the XK and F-Type range, Jaguar says its dramatic leap into new markets will allow a massive increase in production by creating a new series of smaller spin-off cars designed to take on German rivals such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

'It has a seductive design which we think will appeal to women,' said Jaguar’s design director Ian Callum. 'A high proportion of our customers already are women. If it appeals to school run mums, that’s great. But we also think it will be a car that everyone will want. It’s every inch a Jaguar. It’s got to be.'

Experts say it will put parent company Jaguar Land Rover on track to more than doubling its current production, which stands at around 750,000 vehicles a year.

Mum's choice: The sleek family off-roader is set to be a firm favourite with school-run mums and will feature a new generation of super-efficient 'green' engines

A prototype of the C-X17 was unveiled today, on the eve of the Frankfurt motor show in Germany.

It will be just one of a new line of cars – all based around the same hi-tech aluminium chassis, almost all of it made from recycled metal.

However, the very first model off the line will be a high volume 'baby Jaguar saloon car' to be built at its Solihull factory in Birmingham from 2015.

The new cars will be powered by a new generation  of frugal 'green' 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines to be built from 2015 at Jaguar Land Rover’s brand new £355million engine plant now under construction in Wolverhampton.

But for blistering performance there will also be the choice of the existing 3.0-litre V6 used in the new Jaguar F-Type sports car.

Jaguar said: 'The first car in the new segment will be a new saloon which will be produced at an all-new, ultra high-tech production facility at Solihull, creating new jobs and substantial opportunities for suppliers.'

The firm went on: 'The new system will be "scalable" making it possible to produce a wide range of models off the same basic single-cell aluminium chassis.

'It means Jaguar designers and engineers can apply the philosophy, "anything we can imagine we can deliver."

‘It will allow Jaguar to  move into higher volume production without compromising the unique character, breath-taking design, outstanding vehicle dynamics, performance and luxury for which Jaguar is famous.

‘The flexibility of the new architecture  will enable the manufacture  of different products  on the same production line at the same time.’

It means the company can respond quickly to changing demand for the different model variants.

It mixes sensuous feline curves, with strong muscular haunches and a masculine grille: ’Its low height, optimised centre of gravity, and lightweight all aluminium body endow it with superior car-like driving dynamics and a level of agility that would make it quite at home on the fastest roads.’

Of its new on-board wi-fi network and console that allows occupants to keep in touch with each other and the outside via social networking, the company said: ’It allows the vehicle occupants to upload pictures, video and sound files from their mobile devices and share the with their fellow passengers, as well as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media channels: ‘Information can be  ‘flicked’ forwards and rearwards between passengers.’

However road safety experts may raise an eyebrow if the driver is ‘tweeting’ or updating his or her Facebook while driving.

Nissan meanwhile is unveiling its own British-built crossover rival – the new upmarket Infiniti Q30, which will be built at the firm’s UK factory at Sunderland which is preparing to crank up production for it and the new Note.

Business Minister Michael Fallon, who is attending the Frankfurt show, welcomed the Jaguar Land Rover announcement. He said: ‘It’s a great boost for jobs, investment and new models. British car-makers  are flying the flag in Germany. We have our towels on their sun-loungers.’

Mike Hawes, chief executive of Britain’s Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said: ’The UK automotive industry is in its strongest position for many years, a fact perfectly illustrated by today’s announcement for new Jaguar cars which will be made in the UK.’

Libya ex-spy chief's daughter Anoud al-Senussi released

The abductors of the daughter of Libya's former intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi have released her after her kidnap late on Monday.

Anoud al-Senussi was received by family members in the southern Libya.

Handout picture from the Libyan National Guard shows Abdullah al-Senussi after his arrival at a high security prison facility in Tripoli
Abdullah al-Senussi is in jail awaiting trial for crimes allegedly committed in the Gaddafi era

Ms Senussi was seized just moments after she left prison where she had served a 10-month sentence for entering Libya illegally.

The gunmen who took her said they had done so for her own protection to prevent others from kidnapping her.

A security brigade, loosely affiliated to the Interior Ministry, said it had been responsible for the abduction. Observers dismissed this explanation, saying the gunmen had come under pressure from other brigades to release her.

The brigade, known as the First Special Reinforcement Unit, comes under the Supreme Security Committee set up by the ministry of the interior, and is partially made up of fighter who took up arms to oust Gaddafi.
A member of Ms Senussi's tribe, Abdelgader Ibn-Ghassem, told the BBC that Anoud was well and currently staying with relatives in the town of al-Gira in the south of the country.

Mr Ibn-Ghassem added that she would eventually travel to Egypt to re-join her mother and sister there, reports the BBC's Rana Jawad in Tripoli.

Ms Senussi had been convicted for entering the country with a fake passport last year.
Her father is currently jailed in Libya, awaiting trial for his alleged role in crimes committed during the rule of Muammar Gaddafi.

He is also wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has accused him of responsibility for crimes against humanity during the uprising that ousted Gaddafi in 2011.
